Billy Elliot – Did not see that ending coming. I definately thought that his father and brother were not going to allow him to ever be in ballet. Both his father and brother were the definition of hegemonic masculinity. But Billy did not want to do bowing, which they were trying to make him do. He wanted to do ballet. Billy was not acting his gender correctly. However, I was very excited with the ending, because he got to be himself and do what he wanted, with the support of his family.
